Career Objective: To obtain a mid to senior level position as a Graphic Designer where I can deliver results through my creative and graphic design skills with opportunities to develop them further.

Skills: Mac OS X, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom and Acrobat Pro), experience with Web Design (HTML and CSS), WordPress and Google Analytics and Google Drive.

Work Experience – Full Time
RBC Ottawa Bluesfest & CityFolk: Graphic & Web Designer (full time contract) May to Nov 2015.
• Graphic design included marketing materials for both festivals such as brochures, postcards, advertisements, business cards, promotional items, program guides, daily line-up grid schedules, maps, posters, signage, invitations, T-Shirts, etc.
• Designed social media and web related components.
• Liaised with print and visual media companies in a timely manner.
• Assisted in the setup and takedown of both Festival sites, including the signage placement and program distribution as well as trouble shooting.
• Maintained progress updates for the Bluesfest Marketing and Promotions Manager.
• Developed and implemented an organizational procedure and filing system for all future contract Graphic and Web Designers.

Valecraft Homes Ltd: Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant from Apr 2012 to Oct 2014. 
• Graphic Design duties included art direction, logo design and identity for new communities, business cards, stationary, kit-folders, print and online floorplan brochures, internal and external posters, design and lay-out of all promotional advertisements, exterior and interior signage, flags, loyalty program forms and certificates, community site maps, etc.
• Other duties included creating graphic designs for promotional items, tradeshow displays/booths and clothing, photography, copywriting as well as website maintenance and design elements.
• Marketing Assistant duties included liaising with print and visual media companies to book ad space and printers, tracking and updating advertising calendar and expenses, coordination and booth set up for tradeshows, presenting at sales meetings and compiling monthly Google Analytics reports.
• Worked independently as well as part of a small team.

Ashley Furniture HomeStore: Assistant Manager/Graphic & Multimedia Designer from Mar 2011 to Feb 2012.
• Creative direction, copywriting, design and layout of promotional advertisements, internal and external posters, internal and external corporate documents, design elements and copy for the corporate web landing page, print and online coupons as well as ads for the billboard screen outside the store.
• Managerial duties included presenting at sales meetings, overseeing sales associates and customer service representatives.

Sun Media: Graphic & Multimedia Designer from Jul 2002 to Mar 2011.

• On set for two day Toyota commercial shoot and assisted when required.
• Contributed in the weekly creative brain storming meetings and assisted the Art Directors or Creative Directors.

Work Experience – Freelance/Contract
Ottawa Hash House Harriers: Graphic Designer (contract, pro-bono) May 2011 to present. Developed and designed a new club logo as well as designs for t-shirts, bags, neck tubes and name tags for participants’ lanyards for all club special events that take place throughout each year. Web Design Consultant (contract) Nov 2010. Created a template for programmers and advised on typography.

Abundant Living Counselling Group: Graphic Designer (contract) Sep 2010 to Nov 2010. Developed and designed a new logo as well as designed a campaign of interior bus advertisements and posters. My art direction and copy writing was required.

Vinbella Winery: Web Designer (contract) Sep 2008 to Nov 2008. Developed, designed and re-branded Vinbella Winery’s website.

Circle J Ranch: Graphic Designer (contract, pro-bono) May 2005 to Jun 2008. Designed logos, brochures, business cards, posters and clothing.

Premiere Choix Outaouais: Graphic Designer (contract) May 2006 to Jun 2007. Produced sales brochures for 417 Suzuki (English and French), Thermoshell (English and French), Sears, Cruickshank Ford, Northwest Hyundai and Car Loans Online.

Northseas: Graphic Designer (contract) Aug 2005. Logo design for their new product ‘Northseas GAL E/N’.

Canadian Diabetes Association: Graphic Designer (pro-bono) Dec 2005. Created conceptual designs for ‘the Gallery of Hope’ catalogue cover.

Previous Work History
Saatchi & Saatchi Canada: Worked at Umbrella Graphics division of Saatchi & Saatchi in 1996 and 1997. Provided pro bono art studio services to Saatchi & Saatchi Canada resulting in skills development in scanning and developing storyboards for Toyota Canada and Rothmans, Benson & Hedges campaigns, 1996.

Other Experience
• Agency experience includes companies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Due North Communications and Engine Room Creative in Toronto which spanned from 1997 to 2001.

• Designed the ‘LuminCity’ and ‘Fab Light’ logos, business cards and brochure. I also created mock-up designs for product pitch presentations. Jan 2007.

• Designed the M&M Meats ‘Save-a-lope’ envelope. Jun to Aug 2000.
